European coated-abrasive (sandpaper) grading, ISO 6344
FEPA-P is the European sandpaper grading (the P numbers), defined by ISO 6344. The micro grades (P240 and finer) are defined by a particle-size distribution (ds3 / ds50 / ds95). The distribution tables for P240 to P1200 are recovered here from a free national adoption (JIS R6010), and P1500 to P2500 from the free ISO 6344 sample. Coarse grades are sieve-graded.
Each grade below shows its size in microns, its spread (the published distribution, where a maker or standard gives one; most makers publish none), and where that size lands on the reference scale, a shared yardstick for reading grit numbers across makers.
